Message	the problem was not enough smoke was generated to reliably conduct the test. I guess you'd have to be puffing continuously.. :-) I have also heard of others lighting an oily rag on fire and then placing it in the can and placing the lid on to smolder. But I figured the Nichrome wire would be best at providing a controlled smoke environment and I wouldn't smell like a cigar afterwards. :-)
